![]() ![]() I appreciate the props on his arms, as they can double as a weapon, but these are not good arms. The forearms are short, wonky and kibbletastic. For starters, Highbrow’s arms are just strange. The results, however, are a bit of a mixed bag. It’s not overly complicated, but it is interesting to see how the toy incorporates the tailbooms and wings into his robot mode. Highbrow has an interesting transformation. It’s easily one of my favorites from the entire year. Highbrow’s machine guns are detachable and if you press the engines behind each of the props, the blades will spin. The sculpt is fantastic, with tons of sculpted rivets and panel lines and the green, grey and blue deco is pretty much perfect. Transformers R-Type, anyone? The aircraft is slightly reminiscent of a P-47, but with a decidedly retro sci-fi styling to it. ![]() Seriously, as far as I’m concerned this figure is like some kind of impossibly awesome unofficial Transformers-Capcom crossover, which makes me wish for all kinds of similar arcade shooter crossovers. Highbrow’s alt mode is basically a fighter plane right out of Capcom’s Strikers 1945 game. Was it like this on Seaspray? I just don’t remember. It’s odd and I don’t recall ever seeing them do this before. Instead of having all the goodies on the back panel, the bio blurb and tech specks is located on one of the side panels, leaving just the photos of the toy on the back. They did, however, mix it up a bit on the packaging here. Highbrow comes in his robot mode and the window is scattered with stickers for The Hub, the HFTD website, and anything else Hasbro is schilling this week. This story is continued in Transformers #38.At first glance, this looks like a normal Hunt for the Decepticon Voyager Class box. Shortly thereafter, Galen and his men leave Nebulos seeking out the other Autobots on planet Earth, with Zarek and his Decepticons not far behind. When Llyra attempts to learn the truth from Galen, he pushes her away not telling her the truth so that she can go on with her life when he's gone. When Llyra goes to visit Galen, it's just after the Autobots receive a distress call from Earth and decide to leave Nebulos for that planet in the hopes of convincing the Decepticons to leave as well. The Autobots flee the scene, leaving Llyra to consider that her father was lying all along, Zarak meanwhile determines to leave Nebulos. Zarak gives in to his urges and remerges with Scorpononok. As Fortress Maximus and his troops break free they are counterattacked by the new Decepticon Targetmasters. ![]() With the last of his free will, he frees Galen and the other rebels allowing them to merge with their Autobot Headmaster counterparts. Realizing that every time he merges with Scorponok the Decepticon reprograms his mind and he finds each encounter more addicting. Returning to Koraja, he takes what he learns about the Targetmasters to Vorath, who a few days later makes Targetmaster counterparts for the Decepticons. Seeing for the first time the damage he is causing to Nebulos, Lord Zarak begins to reconsider the deal he's made with Scorponok. There they clash with the Autobot Targetmasters, who fail to stop the Decepticons from destroying the Nursery and are forced to retreat. When Zarak learns that Autobots have been sighted at the Nursery he bonds with Scorponok and takes the Terrorcons with him to attack. He allows Galen to recover consciousness so that he may talk to Llyra, and Galen attempt to tell her the truth, but to no avail. He sees that his daughter Llyra is there to see Galen and his followers as well. Zarak telsl him to continue to monitor it while he checks on his prisoners. Meanwhile, in the capital city of Koraja, Vorath reports a distress signal from the Autobots on another planet. Agreeing to help the Nebulans out, they binary bond them to their weapons making themselves Targetmasters. They are also visited by a number of Nebulans, Pointblank, Peacemaker, Sparks, Recoil, Haywire, and Spoilsport who have come seeking the Autobots help in protecting the Nursey, a key agricultural center that Lord Zarak intends to seize. Meanwhile, the Monsterbots return to the Autobot camp in the wilderness and report back what they encountered. Before they can go after them, the Decepticon Headmasters have to stop when the Nebulan media arrives, forcing Zarak to address them and continue to spin the story that Galen is a traitor to his people and says that their battle today is a victory for the people of Nebulos. The Decepticons are hunting down the remaining Autobots on Nebulos, clashing with the Monsterbots at the Mercury Guardens, forcing the Autobots to flee.
